Sedum clavatum is an attractive succulent with stout, creeping stems terminating in rosettes of fleshy, pale green to blue-green leaves, sometimes with red tips. It grows up to 10cm tall. Rosettes are up to 5cm in diameter. Stems lose their leaves as they elongate but are often covered by younger stems so the plant can look like a solid mat of attractive rosettes. The plant has compact inflorescences of many white star-shaped flowers from spring to early summer.
