Sedum Spathulifolium is a useful drought-tolerant plant for problem, hot, dry sunny spots, where it associates well with other sedums and looks superb surrounded by pebbles or gravel.
Sedum Spathulifolium ‘Cape Blanco’ bears powder-blue and pewter foliage which, in midsummer, is topped by small flattish heads of yellow flowers. Though attractive in flower, ‘Cape Blanco’ is at its very best in midwinter when its colourful evergreen foliage makes it stand out over other winter foliage plants.
Grow Sedum Spathulifolium ‘Cape Blanco’ in rock gardens or containers, and pair with sempervivums. In colder regions, protect from frost in winter.
