Crassula biplanata is a small succulent with a somewhat swollen main stem and thick, green to reddish-green, erect or decumbent branches covered with short papillae. It can grow up to 1 foot (30 cm) tall. The older branches are smooth, with brown bark and sometimes with aerial roots. The leaves are thick, fleshy, lance-shaped, and can reach up to 0.6 inches (1.5 cm) in length. They are green and often covered with white bloom.
The flowers are white to creamy-white, tubular, and appear in dense, flat-topped clusters from mid to late summer.
